RECENT PROJECTS

Recent projects have included installation of a Studio in Soacha, Colombia, which provides a peaceful center where displaced young people can come together and record music. In conjunction with non-profit, SevenMinusSeven, D-Street was able to build a studio in the “art space” community center located in St. Thomas. Young people are part of one of the organisms yeast. In the summer of 2012 studios were created at the TWAAYF Orphanage in Likoni, Kenya and Il Boru High School in Arusha, Tanzania.

COLOMBIA STUDIO PROJECT

Gradison Benjamin arrived in Colombia in January to deliver donated equipment for a new recording studio and a 5-day training to 25 young rappers in San Nicolas, Soacha.

SEVEN MINUS SEVEN

Seven Minus Seven offers an alternative venue for creative expression to the community of the Virgin Islands and abroad.

ONE MIC STUDIO

One Mic Studio is a recording arts program at William Randolph School in Asheville, North Carolina.

URBAN ARTS INSTITUTE

Our purpose is to enhance our students’ lives through artistic expression to build self-esteem, improve academic skills and communications to build community and to reduce possible gang activity.
